MJS Rigging was founded in June of 2021. Even though we are a new name, we are no stranger to the industry. Mitchell began his introduction to the trucking industry from the day he was born, traveling the interstate 5 with his father from trade show to trade show and machine shop to machine shop; traveling from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Working with his father in the industry, high volume trucking, he was very much in the middle of the chaos, excitement, and stress that comes with the trucking industry.
He quickly became old enough to assist with tasks, such as folding pads, loading trucks, and assisting with backing trucks in. By the age of 13, he was operating forklifts up to 30K and loading 53ft trailers. Together with his father, Mitchell created designs and concepts of tools and moving plans for large and sensitive projects.
At the age of 18, he was managing 4+ crews at a time, assisting with 100,000 sqft warehouse management, and was fully involved with daily operations.
When Mitchell was around 25-years-old, he began focusing his skills more towards rigging and special handling. Soon he gained additional skills while working side by side with engineers within the electrical, cellular, pharmaceutical, and tech industries. This experience gives him a unique repertoire of knowledge and skill he uses when approaching projects. As one engineer put it, "Mitchell alone is a 10 man crew!"
Our experience branches from moving Ming Dynasty artifacts into the Chabot Museum, moving large printing presses out of 5 story buildings in San Francisco, to rigging and construction of tech and semi-conductor equipment.
We are grateful to Mitchell's father for being a pioneer in the industry, for giving him opportunity and creating a conduit for building relationships. His father's military background gave them the discipline and drive to be successful in the industry, and Mitchell was able to grow with it and offer a more personalized service. He made a path to provide a service of something bigger, and we are truly thankful.
His father passed in Jan of 2021, and Mitchell decided to continue the family trade while moving things in a different direction. His focus is to provide a stronger more personal customer based service. This service will allow our company to grow with our current and future customers, and the future of their product and their success. We are now able to support the industry, provide a great workplace for our employees, and establish lasting relationships with our customers.
It's in our blood, it's who we are. It’s the industry, it’s the relationships, and we want our service to be available for generations to come.
